Cedar Hill's root zone mix is a perfect blend of sand and peat moss, developed to meet the exacting specifications of designers of natural turf athletic fields. It drains water quickly into the field's trenches and helps ensure that the phrase, "it's a rain out," is rarely uttered.

When it comes to Infield Clay Mix, the correct combinations of sand, silt and clay provide the necessary firmness.  The ideal mix is 70-85% sand, 12%-20% Clay, with the balance as silt. Too much sand causes unstable footing; too much silt and clay leads to excess compaction and field hardness.
