Bio-Retention Media
Cedar Hill manufactures and delivers Bioretention Media in accordance with the New Jersey Stormwater Best Management Practices or other site specifications. Our Bioretention Media has been approved and installed on projects in Hudson, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset, and Union Counties.
As per New Jersey Stormwater Best Management Practices Manual, the Bioretention mix serves three purposes:
Permeability - To allow stormwater runoff to percolate through to the underlying drainage and not stay perched on top of the soil.
Filtration - To absorb nutrients, bacteria and harmful pollutants such as metals and hydrocarbons. Filtering these contaminants out in the Bioretention Soil keeps them from entering surrounding streams, rivers, and aquifers.
Growth - A medium for plant growth which in turn helps to absorb and break down the nutrients and pollutants.
Cedar Hill has a thorough understanding of the functions of Bioretention Media and has experience in providing a high quality product that meets these stringent specifications.
